Overview

Know how much greenhouse gas your company emits in a year. It's the shared starting point for emission cuts, Taiwan's carbon fee and supply chain requirements.

01 · Who

Who it is for

  • Listed companies and their subsidiaries that must complete and verify an inventory under the sustainability roadmap
  • Suppliers whose brand customers or international buyers require Scope 1 and 2 (or even Scope 3) emissions data
  • Manufacturers exporting to the EU that need to respond to carbon border requirements such as CBAM
  • Companies applying for subsidies or green financing, or joining emission reduction projects, that need base year data
  • SMEs new to carbon inventories with no dedicated staff
02 · What

What we do

We deliver more than a report. We teach your team to update the data on their own every year.

Boundary and base year

Set the organizational boundary by operational control or equity share, identify emission sources across Scope 1 to Scope 3 (categories 1-6), and choose a base year.

Activity data collection

We provide data collection forms and instructions, and guide each department in gathering electricity bills, fuel, refrigerant, waste and raw material records.

Emissions calculation

Calculate with factors published by Taiwan's Ministry of Environment and international databases, using the latest heating values and GWP version, plus an uncertainty assessment.

Inventory and report

Write the inventory report following the ISO 14064-1 structure, with every figure traceable to source documents.

Verification preparation

Choose an association-issued inventory statement, or have us accompany you through third-party verification (e.g., BSI, SGS, DNV, TÜV).

Reduction recommendations

Once the inventory is done, we identify emission hotspots and list practical energy-saving and carbon-cutting measures for the next step.

03 · Process

How it works

  1. Kickoff meeting

Confirm the inventory purpose, boundary, schedule and department contacts.

  2. Training

Help contacts understand scope categories and data requirements, to cut back-and-forth.

  3. Data collection

Collect in batches and check item by item, filling gaps as they appear.

  4. Calculation and reporting

Calculate emissions, write the inventory and report, and confirm internally.

  5. Verification and delivery

Support the association statement or third-party verification, then hand over all files.

04 · Deliverables

What you get

  • GHG inventory register

Activity data, factors and emissions for each source.

  • Inventory report

Written to the ISO 14064-1 structure and ready for public disclosure.

  • Data collection templates

Forms and instructions you can reuse directly next year.

  • Reduction opportunity list

Improvement suggestions ranked by emission hotspot.

05 · FAQ

FAQ

How is an organizational inventory different from a product carbon footprint?

An organizational inventory covers the whole company for one year and shows total emissions. A product carbon footprint covers one product from raw materials to disposal and shows what that product emits. Most companies start with the organizational inventory, then calculate footprints for key products.

We are a small company. Do we need one?

Regulations currently target large emitters and listed companies first, but supply chain requirements apply at any size. The earlier you set a base year, the easier it is to answer customer questionnaires and set reduction targets.

Is third-party verification required?

It depends on the use. For responses to the FSC (Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission) or international customers, third-party verification is usually needed. For internal management or a first baseline, you can start with an association-issued inventory statement and upgrade to verification later.

How complete does Scope 3 need to be?

ISO 14064-1 requires identifying all indirect emissions, then deciding what to quantify based on significance. We will recommend which categories to calculate first, based on your industry and customer requirements.
